What To Expect - About Sojourn

Our office location is discrete and your confidentiality is very important to us. We endeavor to provide an inviting, clean, comfortable, relaxed environment for our clients.


At Your First Appointment
Please come 10 - 15 minutes early to fill in our intake form before your appointment. Before your appointment your payment will be processed at the front desk. For your convenience we have Visa, MasterCard, American Express or debit card. A standard appointment is 50 minutes.


Your First Therapy Session
An Assessment of the presenting issue or concerns begins at the first appointment. Your therapist will gather information and together you will identify your therapy goals and discuss your treatment plan.


Fees
Our fee schedule reflects fair fees for services consistent with the qualifications of the therapist and the fee schedule recommendations for Psychological Services in Alberta.


Insurance
Alberta Health Care does not cover Psychological services however your may have Extended Health Care Insurance Benefits or an Employee Assistance Program. It is the client’s responsibility to inquire about insurance benefits with their provider. Call your insurance provider and ask if they cover psychological services, what your yearly maximum is for each family member and the amount allowed per session. Also you will need to know how to make a claim and ask for forms to do so.

Fees that are not covered by insurance may be claimed as a health expense on your annual income tax return.
